Our horses

At LITS Horses, every horse has a story.

We rescue horses and give them a second life, from polo athletes to show-jumping champions whose owners could no longer care for them. They receive proper food, veterinary care, and open spaces where they can connect freely with the herd. By joining our rides, you help support their new chapter.

On September 19th we came together for something truly special: Breathwork with Horses. A morning of deep breathing, stillness and presence, surrounded by our herd here in Aldeia do Meco.

Horses feel everything we bring to them. When we slow our breath, they soften with us. Watching that connection grow between people and horses was something we won’t forget. 🤍

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and opened up to the experience. Moonlight Rides for advanced riders 🌕✨

Join us for a unique night-time riding experience on September 23rd, 24th & 25th, from 20:15 - 22:30.

Designed for experienced riders, this special ride takes you through the peaceful pine forest and along the coast under the light of the moon. With the landscape naturally illuminated and everything around you becoming quiet, the connection with your horse feels even more focused and instinctive. 🌙🐴

Not an advanced rider but still want to experience the magic of a moonlight ride?
You can also book a private moonlight ride tailored specifically to your level. With our full attention on you, the pace and route will be adapted to your experience, allowing beginners to enjoy this unique experience in a safe, relaxed and personal setting. 🤍

Adventure Rides for Advanced Riders 🐎✨

Yesterday we headed out on another unforgettable Adventure Ride. We galloped along the beach, rode past @hangar_meco and through the pine forests. 🤩
Every Adventure Ride is different. Depending on the tide, weather, and trail conditions, we adapt the route to make the most of each ride. They can take us to the Hangar restaurant, while others lead through beautiful countryside and, whenever possible, along the coastline and the beach.

Our Adventure Rides are designed for experienced riders who are confident cantering and who are looking for a longer, more adventurous experience in the saddle.

Yesterday, our very first yoga session took place and it was such a beautiful and peaceful morning. ✨🐴

Together with @annabreed_ we moved, breathed, and slowed down surrounded by nature and the gentle presence of horses. Listening to the quiet rhythm of the stable and the soft sounds of horses chewing hay created a truly calming start into the day.

After yoga, we gathered for tea, and shared a slow morning together before starting the day. 🫖
